Runners-up for this designation included Yuniesky Betancourt, Kansas City Royals; Jhonny Peralta, Cleveland Indians; Alex Rios, Blue Jays/Chicago White Sox; and Jose Guillen, Royals. Milton Bradley, rightfielder for the Chicago Cubs, was the National League LVP.
